We believe it is important to recognize and support other cultures, so we would love to bring that to you!
Our first post is dedicated to great looks for the upcoming summer! WFJ’s 2017 Summer Lookbook is comprised of two different types of looks: Hip & Casual and Beach Style. World Fashion Journal is based in Southern California, so we love our beach looks! If you love any of the looks make sure to comment below, we would love to hear back from you!
Hip & Casual: Day Out
(Jacket: Urban Outfitters: Dress: tobi.com, Shoes: Converse, Necklace: Tiffany and Co.)
This white dress from tobi.com is incredibly comfortable! It’s definitely a great pick when you want to look cute, but want to stay comfortable. This anorak style jacket is a must-have from Urban Outfitters! It can be hard to wear jackets during the summer because of high temperatures, but this jacket is light so it can be worn during the day and when the sun goes down at night. It is also a great jacket to wear with a simple outfit to jazz it up a bit!
Hip & Casual: Sunday Brunch
(BDG Jeans: Urban Outfitters, Bodysuit: Urban Outfitters, Jean Jacket: Forever 21, Booties: Vince Camuto)
Who doesn't love going to a nice brunch?! This look is great to dress up or dress down. The cream ripped jeans from Urban Outfitters are super comfortable and are a great way to lighten up an outfit for summer. The bottom of the jeans are cropped and frayed, a great style to pair with booties. Bodysuits are the best for this summer season! This blush bodysuit from Urban Outfitters is great to wear for a nice brunch or lunch because there is a low cut in the front and the back which makes it interesting, and the ruffles on the sleeves add a flirty touch. This outfit can be worn with or without a jacket, but who doesn't love a jean jacket to finish their look?
Beach Style: Dinner at the Marina
(Poncho: Free People, Tank top: Anthropologie, Boyfriend Jeans: Lucky Brand, Wedges: KelsiDaggerBK [KDB])
The best thing about dinner at the beach is that you don’t have to dress up too much! The beach is a great excuse to make your look more casual. This Free People poncho is a great buy and I am so glad that ponchos are back in style. I used to wear a pink and purple poncho everyday when I was a child, and now I get to remake that look into something better. The color of this FP poncho is great, because it can work for any season. To make it even better it has FRINGE… fringe is in and so are ponchos. Ripped boyfriend jeans make great bottoms for this look to keep the outfit young, and they're perfect because they go well with a nice pair of wedges.
Beach Style: Sunny Days
(Cardigan: Abercrombie & Fitch, Romper: Anthropologie, Sandals: Steve Madden, Necklace: Tiffany & Co., Choker: Anthropologie, Sunglasses: Rayban)
A floral romper is a perfect choice for a beautiful sunny day this summer. If you ignore the hassle of wearing a romper, it is a great choice because it’s a one-piece look! This romper from Anthropologie is bright and airy, making it perfect for a summer day. The colors are beautiful and it’s a great fit. If it is a windy day definitely pair it with a light cardigan! This one is from Abercrombie & Fitch and it is amazing because it covers your arms, but it is not heavy or hot. Of course, the perfect pair of shoes to match with a romper are simple sandals!
